Being on opposing sides of a thrilling game of fish bowl in Pastor Wendell's kitchen had us pit against each other...but our equally competitive spirits only ignited the spark between us. Our chemistry was undeniable. A few weeks of small group at Wendell's set the stage, but now it was time for the opening act. One 'slide into the DM's' later, and the curtain was drawn! We messaged back and forth for a full 24 hours, before Mary got impatient (no surprise there) and asked for a REAL date. After a wonderful night of sushi, a brisk walk around San Jacinto Plaza, strawberry smoothies, listening to music, and an impromptu game of checkers, we knew that our love story had only just begun.
