Joel and Tiffany met on May 5, 2024 at Toros Mexican restaurant in Franklinton, North Carolina.

What seemed a typical Saturday night out at their favorite Irish pub for karaoke, turned out to be the night they got engaged! Joel had the ring for months and was waiting on the just the right time to pop the question. He wanted the moment to be special but didn't want Tiffany to figure out the surprise. He'd had the ring zipped in his pocket all day long while he nervously planned the proposal in his head over and over. Finally, it was his turn to go up and sing at karaoke and he sang "The Luckiest" by, Ben Folds. He managed to calm his nerves enough to serenade Tiffany. Then he exited the stage and walked towards her, mic in hand, and said he had a question. Joel got down on one knee and asked Tiffany if she would make him "the happiest man alive" and marry him. Tiffany, in complete shock, immediately started crying and exclaimed, "YES!" The whole pub cheered! It was the perfect proposal! ❤️💍🎤
