Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want our guests to feel and look good while celebrating with us. No need for suits, Spanx or stilettos; keep it a dressy casual and try to avoid black and white. We are incorporating a variety of colors in our day, largely around steel blue, dusty mauve, and sage green, Feel free to coordinate or add a splash of another color into the festivities. Long sleeves and pants/dresses/skirts are encouraged to help protect from the bugs, also knowing the lake shore tends to be a bit cooler than inland. Keep in mind that the ceremony location will be sandy, and other areas we will visit may be rocky. Therefore, we recommend saving the high heels for dinner, ladies.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony location/Little Presque Isle?

Answer

Take Big Bay Road/550 west out of Marquette 6 miles past Sugar Loaf Ave. You will pass Sugarloaf Mountain, Wetmore Landing, and Hogback Mountain. Just past Harlow Lake Road on your left, you will find the drive into Little Presque Isle park on the right. Follow this road all the way to the end to park closest to the point. The ceremony will be among the pine trees on the sandy shore to the north of the parking area.

Question

Where do we park at The Delft Bistro?

Answer

The restaurant's address is 139 West Washington Street, Marquette, MI, 49855. Although there is some street parking in front of the Delft on W Washington Street, additional parking can be found behind the restaurant off Main Street between S 3rd Street and S Front Street. There is also the Bluff Street Public Parking lot one block north of the restaurant.

Question

What do I need to bring to the lodge?

Answer

The lodge has most everything we will need, including bedding, towels, and a fully-stocked kitchen. We will be providing meals at the lodge Thursday evening through Sunday, with the exception of Saturday's dinner in Marquette. Please plan to bring a chair for the fire pit and any specific food you would like to have over the weekend.
