The Wedding Website of Joel Miwa and Rudy Davila
Please take the time to review these commonly asked questions before you begin the journey of preparing for your trip. We are certain that these questions will help you set yourself up for a successful and awesome "vacation". Did you hear there's a wedding happening too?
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible. Importantly, note that your room will need to be completely paid off by September 20th, 2024, so if you RSVP after September 20th, you will have to pay for your stay in whole. No payment plan will be offered. Changes will not be allowed regarding RSVP by December 12th, 2024.

Question

What is the difference between a regular room and a “preferred” room? Is it worth it?

Answer

Yes, we recommend “preferred” for those who want to party with the grooms in the adults only preferred pool. Preferred Club Room Rates also Include a dedicated Beach Area, Top shelf liquors, a Preferred Lounge access for a more private experience, access to a Preferred Only, and a Personalized Private Concierge Service experience that a normal booked room would not give you access too.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You should arrive no later than 4:30 PM. If you are late you will not be permitted to enter the wedding ceremony after the scheduled time. Please be on time, since the venue itself will require specific details that would be interrupted by latecomers. Thank you for your consideration.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, you get a plus one. However, please keep in mind that this will be an intimate wedding. We would love to have met the person at least once before.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For the ceremony itself, we ask that children below the age of 5 are not brought into the ceremony.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere as we are having a destination wedding. However, you are more than welcome to contribute to our Honeymoon Fund via the "Honeymoon Fund" tab on this website.

Question

Until when can I make a change to my reservation?

Answer

The final chance for you to make changes to your reservation is by the last week of the payment date, which is September 20th. So, preferably days before the 20th, because Melinda still needs time to make those changes for you. Keep in mind this may change the payment amount as well.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have vegetarian options at our wedding reception following the ceremony. Please let us know via your RSVP if you require any additional food allergy accommodations. If you forgot to include that in your RSVP please contact our wedding planner, Ashlee Voda.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is a dress code included for the ceremony. Cocktail Attire: Wear light cocktail dresses, LBDs, light dressy jumpsuits, and light jackets and slacks. We know you will be in the sun for approximately 30 minutes, so we do understand dressing light.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our official wedding days are February 10th to February 14th of 2025. With special events during the week, we ask that you please refer to the schedule on this website to get further information on what is planned.

Question

How long can I stay at the resort before/after the wedding?

Answer

The rate you will be using is based on the rate that we negotiated with the resort. It will be honored between the dates of February 8th to February 19th 2025. Anything before and after that is booked will not fall in line with our negotiated rate.
