We first met through Mikala's coworker Victoria who was also Joel's neighbor. Joel immediately thought she was gorgeous and out of his league. Mikala had just moved from Colorado and was just trying to make new friends. A few months go by off running into each other occasionally at Victoria's. One night at Victoria's house Joel is sitting alone on the couch, most likely watching a football game or checking fantasy football scores, when he get 's a notification on my phone. Text from Mikala: "You're being boring!" Excited, he got off the couch, started up a conversation trying not to be awkward (He was awkward). Soon after we were dating.
