In 2006, we met at a bus stop on Meandering Way, a street in Lilburn, Georgia. Melissa would sit at the back of the bus with her older siblings, while Joel sat at the front with his sisters. It took a few months before we realized we were in the same grade and lived just four houses down from each other. But once we did, we knew we had each found a friend forever. For the next five years, we walked to the bus stop and back home together everyday, laughing about what we did in class and sharing snacks in homeroom. As we grew from children to teenagers and eventually young adults, we stayed close and bonded over our shared Christian faith, love for food, and trust in each other. Our relationship deepened as we became a part of each other's families, and on April 9th, 2023, we got engaged! Then, on June 12th, 2024, we celebrated our engagement in Hyderabad, surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. Over almost two decades, we have grown together, creating countless cherished memories. We feel incredibly blessed and cannot wait to continue growing together forever. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your support and prayers throughout our journey. The love you have shown us has shaped who we are today. We are thrilled to celebrate this moment with each and every one of you. We are so excited to share many more beautiful moments with all of you by our side.
