The ceremony will be at Monroe Community Church; the reception will be at the Loft at Luna. Both venues are located in downtown Grand Rapids.
Semi-formal attire is requested. Don't worry, we had to Google what this means too. Basically, just dress up a little nicer than normal (dress pants, button-down shirt, a nice dress or jumpsuit, etc.)!
We both love kids! However, due to space and cost restrictions, our celebration will be an adults-only event.
There is parking at Monroe Community Church off Monroe, which includes a small lot directly in front of the entrance and another lot on the right hand side. There is also street parking on Monroe and lots of street parking on Ottawa (any metered parking will be free on the weekend). There is also a rear entry to the church on Ottawa. There will also be street parking and a good number of parking garages within walking distance of the Loft at Luna. The map at https://theloftatluna.com/contact/ shows the closest parking garages to the venue.
Our dinner will be a taco bar with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. If you have any questions or specific requests, we only ask that you tell us no later than two weeks before the wedding so we can find a solution with our caterer.
Monroe Community Church is a one-level building with no stairs. The Loft at Luna is an upstairs venue, but there is an elevator available to reach the upper floor. Both buildings also offer gender-neutral restrooms. If you have any specific questions about accessibility, please reach out and we will do our best to find out the answer!
At this time, the transmission rate in our county (Kent) is low enough that we do not currently have any Covid restrictions at this time. However, there are a few things we recommend to make this a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone: -Vaccines and booster shots are the best protection we have against the virus, so if you're able, we encourage everyone who can to get vaccinated and boosted in order to protect themselves and others. -We won't be requiring masks at the ceremony and reception, but each guest should do whatever makes them most comfortable (masking or not masking). -If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, we kindly ask that you stay home. We'd dearly miss you, but we will not hold it against you if you have to decline at the last minute!
Yes! We can email a link to folks who would like to join us via livestream. Reach out to Joel and he can add you to the list.
