Feel free to get to know our relationship better through our story! :)
A long time ago in a galaxy closer than you think, I remember walking to my car receiving a text message from a group chat that included Jennie in it. It was National Fried Chicken day which is on July 6th and our friends wanted to meet up at a restaurant but as an aficionado of fried chicken I decided to celebrate this joyous day with signature heart throbbing sandwich, the donut and fried chicken combo first. As I put my keys in the ignition and started the car, I saw that a group of people including Jennie was also on the way to the chicken spot. At that time Jennie and I had been Sunday school friends for so long that I didn't think any of it because of my previous attempts. Oh yes I have tried more than once but that is a story you must ask one us to get the full details. As I get to the chicken place, I see that there is a steady line forming in the drive thru so I decided to go inside. I stood in line and I was the next person to go up to order and out of the corner of my eye is this pink dress that caught my eye with the sunlight and as I turn around to my amazement, it was Jennie Thomas. I was blushing and my cheeks were flushed I was choked up to say any words so I asked her the basic questions about work and school. Yea I know I wasn't smooth but me being a funny person, cracked a joke about how this was a two handed sandwich for a one handed guy, she chuckled and got to see a smile and laughter that made my heart sing. Yes ladies and gentleman I fell in love. Of course when we got to the restaurant after eating, I realized that Jennie was the only one I needed all along and that night confirmed it. Now years later here I was kneeling before Saint Peter's Gate, knowing that she is the woman I want to be and grow with, and to this day I get butterflies watching her be her best self. That is what makes me luckiest man. Thanks for reading and we can't wait to celebrate our love with you!
Joel and I met when we were kids at church. When I moved from Boston at a young age I joined St. Gregorios Orthodox Church and we were in the same Sunday School class for many years. We would see each other every Sunday and we were good friends. We would catch up and ask the common questions, like "how is school?" "How is work?" It wasn't until college when Joel and I connected and sparks started to fly. It truly was fate because anyone that knows me, knows I do not go out a lot. The one time I decided to go out was when some friends from church asked to go to dinner one Thursday night. I thought it would be a good idea since I was either always in the library or always at home. Before we gathered at the restaurant it was a famous holiday called National Fried Chicken Day and anyone who knows me, knows I love some chicken. So I made my way to this chicken place and I see Joel there. We started talking and catching up as any two people from the same church would do. It was now time to leave and meet our other friends at the restaurant but of course my car got stuck in my parking spot, with the drive thru line blocking me in. Joel saw this and immediately got in his car and made every car move out of the way for me so I could back out of my spot. He didn't have to do that for me but he made sure I was safe and that is something that showed me how much of a kind soul he has. This is one thing I will always remember because from the day I met him to now as my fiancé, he has been my knight and shining armor and a gentlemen to say the least. Some our favorite things to do together are to watch scary movies, eat good food, and to spend time with our friends and family. Joel has shown me what it means to be a patient, supportive, and amazing partner. These last four years have been nothing short of amazing and I am elated to embark on this next chapter of life with my soon to be husband!
