FAQs

The Wedding Website of Janie Robbins and Joel Kohlmyer
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We'd love for our guests to embrace "Garden Party" cocktail attire as we celebrate together! Think polished and elevated with a romantic, garden-inspired feel. Cocktail dresses, lightweight fabrics, suits, blazers with dress trousers, dressy separates, and jumpsuits are all wonderful choices. We ask guests to please avoid wearing white/ivory and encourage you to have fun with your look! Bright, cheerful colors, playful patterns, and floral prints (particularly roses!) are all welcome, we want everyone to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to celebrate. Please also keep in mind that portions of the evening will take place outdoors + on gravel/grass.

Question

What should I expect for weather?

Answer

Late August in Tennessee is warm and often hot. Please note our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors while the reception will be indoors (air conditioned).

Question

When should I Rsvp by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 17th, 2027 so we can provide our venue and vendors with an accurate final guest count. If we do not receive your RSVP by this date, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate you at the wedding. We ask that you RSVP only once your plans are confirmed. If you RSVP “yes,” we will reserve a seat and meal specifically for you, so please let us know as soon as possible if your plans change.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate the guests formally listed on your invitation and RSVP. If a plus-one has been reserved for you, it will be clearly indicated on your invitation.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding celebrations will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a fun night out celebrating with us!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is available at Cedarmont Farm. You will enter the farm through the first gate (entrance with a black mailbox) and as you drive up the gravel road you will see a parking lot adjacent to the red barn where you will park. Rideshare services will also be dropped here. From there a trolley will drive you to the ceremony site. If you plan to enjoy cocktails throughout the evening, we strongly encourage using Uber/Lyft or another rideshare service. We recommend scheduling rides in advance, as availability may be limited later in the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving around 4:00 PM to allow plenty of time to park, find your seat, and get settled before the ceremony begins promptly at 4:30 PM. Please plan accordingly, as guests arriving after the ceremony has begun may be asked to wait before entering or miss the ceremony entirely.
