Wedding Party

Stephanie

Matron of Honor

My Matron of Honor is also my big sister, who gets mistaken as my younger sister often due to her petite frame and youthful appearance & spirit. From growing up together to standing by each other through every stage of life, she’s always been one of my biggest supporters, someone who I have always looked up to and my best friend. As soon as we are together we immediately become our 8 & 10 year old selves again, laughing until we cry is one of our common occurrences when we are together. She’s also given me the blessing to be an aunt to my beautiful nieces, Palmer and Oakley! I couldn’t imagine celebrating this day without her by my side.

Ashley

Maid of Honor

This amazing mother of 3 boys is a Penn High-school Track star, Ashley, known as “D-WALL” because her name was so complicated to say in high school we just one day all started calling her that and still do. She has been one of my best friends since freshman year of high school, a friendship so close we at this point just call eachother sisters. From cheering and snowboarding to countless laughs, she has always been my biggest supporter. I hope everyone will get the opportunity to get to know her and hear one of her 6 accents, if she brings out an accent around you consider it a privilege. We’ve shared so many memories and have been through so many major life events together and I truly can’t imagine this day without her by my side!

Rachel

Bridesmaid

Rachel, also known to “always smell good” has been my longest running friendship since 5th grade and we have had so many memories together. We both grew up on the lake together and also you could find us snowboarding, cheerleading, fishing, eating chicken wings, trying every water sport possible or dolphin calling. Rachel is so athletic she randomly decided to try out for soccer with no prior soccer experience and made the team, which is kind of a big deal going to a high-school with over 4,000 people. Also, don’t tell her she’s tan, she’s fully aware and is a proud Italian girl. I’ve been lucky enough to watch her grow up into the amazing Mom, Wife and friend she is today and truly could not imagine her not by my side!

Dena

Bridesmaid

Dena is not only from Prussian royalty, she is also a successful sales/marketing business owner and moonlights as a photographer. Her superlative she was awarded in the yearbook, voted amongst the 1,100 peers in the class of 2009, was “life of the party” and she certainly lives up to that title. We became immediate friends when we met in high school and it has been nothing short of some of the best laughs and memories I have. I can call her to cry, laugh or to go on a spontaneous trip, including but not limited to random concerts and our trips to Chicago every single weekend in our mid 20’s. Dena was kind of a big deal at Penn High when she was the only Freshman on the Varsity Poms team. We have seen eachother go through so many phases of life and I’m so excited to have her by my side for this next phase of life, only 3 short months after giving birth to her first child, Benji!

Andrea

Bridesmaid

A sushi restaurant hates to see her coming. Andrea and I met in our early 20’s and it felt like we had already been friends for years. Andrea is one of the most caring and hilarious people I am lucky enough to call one of my best friends even though she decided to move to Dallas, Texas where everything is bigger, except her, standing at 4’11. Couldn’t be more thrilled to have her by my side for my special day!

Jaclyn

Bridesmaid

Jaclyn, an IU undergraduate, Valpo law school graduate who is now an attorney in Chicago, who has visited 22 countries and counting. We met in our 20’s and have been great friends since the first time we met, Jaclyn is the most laid back, go with the flow, nonchalantly hilarious friends I have and am so lucky to have met her and have her in my life and stand by my side!

Palmer

Flower Girl

My Palmer girl. The first to make me an aunt and show me a love I had never experienced before. From the very beginning, she has held such a special place in my heart. At just seven years old, she brings so much joy, laughter, and light wherever she goes. With her sweet spirit, playful energy, and big, beautiful heart, she makes every moment brighter. Watching her grow has been one of the greatest gifts, and having her by my side as my flower girl means more to me than words can say.

Oakley

Flower Girl

Our youngest flower girl, the Oakster, is our little free spirit, bringing endless laughter and joy wherever she goes. At just four years old, she already has the funniest personality and a spark that is impossible not to love. She keeps us all smiling with her silly moments, big imagination, and carefree spirit. Full of sweetness and spunk, she lights up every room she walks into. Having her as part of our special day makes it even more joyful and unforgettable.

Luke

Best Man

Some bonds are built over time, mine with my brother was there from day one. From backyard sports to sharing the same baseball diamond in high school summers, he’s been my teammate in every sense of the word. These days, we’ve added a new player to the roster: his son Brock, who’s already proving he’s got the family athletic genes. Having him by my side on my wedding day is a full-circle moment I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Paul

Groomsman

Met this stallion when he was in a wheelchair, and he hasn’t slowed down since. Pauly T has been there through countless baseball games, country concerts, classes, and everything in between. From Ohio to Texas, through the good times and the tough times, Tepy has always shown up. First baseman, defensive end, and now father of two; the man keeps adding titles. Couldn’t be happier to have Steven standing beside me on my wedding day!

Billy

Groomsman

College roommate, close friend, and quite possibly a baseball legend, depending on who you ask (just ask him). Bill has been a brother and what started as two guys sharing a place turned into one of the most important friendships in my life. Often referred to as the deadly duo, we’ve been through it all together. Now, the stats because they’re too good not to share. In 2014, Bill was the impact pitcher of the year: began the season as the team’s closer, earned seven saves tied for fourth in the Big East, then transitioned into the weekend rotation like it was nothing. 21 appearances, four starts against conference opponents, and a 3.51 ERA good for second-best on the team. Versatile, reliable, and always delivering when it mattered most, sounds about right for the guy I know off the field too. Couldn’t be more grateful to have him in the wedding!

Kyle

Groomsman

Post-college roommate, solid friend, and a man who has never stayed put for long. After living together after college, Kyle decided to bail on me, bouncing between Illinois, the Carolinas and Indiana before finally settling down in Napa. Can’t say I’m too surprised, the guy has always had good taste. These days we connect over golf and wine, which feels about right for someone who ended up in wine country. But before the vineyards and fairways, Kyle was out there putting up ridiculous numbers on the mound. 2009 Indiana Baseball Coaches Association Player of the Year, Indianapolis Star All-North Player of the Year, all-state, all-conference, the resume speaks for itself. Went 10-2 with a 1.79 ERA and 101 strikeouts his senior year, threw two no-hitters, and led Westfield to the Class 4A final. Oh, and he dabbled in varsity basketball too, because apparently one sport wasn’t enough. Thrilled to have this well-traveled, wine-sipping, former ace standing by my side on the big day!

Bob

Groomsman

Let me introduce you to Robert Akin, proud Indiana native and a man I’ve shared way too many years of living space with. After rooming together post-college for years, we mutually decided we needed a little break from each other. We came out the other side better for it, and stronger than ever. One thing that’s never wavered? Our annual Indy 500 tradition. Over 10 years running with the same group, rain or shine, and Bob has been there for every single one. A true Indiana rite of passage with a true Indiana guy. Four-year varsity baseball player at Bishop Chatard, but where Bobby really made his mark was on the football field, wide receiver, defensive back, IFCA All-State honoree, and back-to-back state championships in 2006 and 2007. The man just wins. Accounting major by day, legend by reputation. Son of Tim and Ginny Akin, and one of the good ones through and through. Couldn’t be happier to have Bob in the wedding!

Kevin

Groomsman

Allow me to introduce Kevin Lenkman: solid American, proud new father, and a man formerly known as Whiskey Kev. Kevin came into my life as a junior college transfer at Butler, and from there we were roommates along with Kyle after college before those two decided to abandon ship and leave the state. Apparently Indiana, the crossroads of America and land of corn and honey, wasn’t good enough for either of them. Kevin has since landed in Florida, which honestly tracks. New state, new dad life, the man is thriving. Before Butler, Kevin was putting in work on the mound at John Wood Community College in Illinois, 92 strikeouts over 77.2 innings will turn some heads. He came to Butler ready to compete and fit right in, on and off the field. Couldn’t be happier to have Whiskey Kev (err, Kevin) standing by my side on the big day!
