I was having a get together at my house with some friends when Joel showed up. I thought he was cute the moment I saw him and over time we became close friends. As time went on we lost touch of each other Joel went off to college and I was back home in high school. During the 2010 summer break we starting hanging out again and catching up on lost time. We would hang out together all the time! That's pretty much when we thought, "Okay. This could be something."

We decided to take a vacation trip to Cancun, Mexico. Joel had been researching for a place to have a nice adventure but all I wanted to do was lay at the beach all day. He eventually convinced me to go to La Isla de Mujeres which was so beautiful! We drove around the whole Island till we go to the south end as soon we saw the area he started crying. He said it was so beautiful out here! After walking to the most high point of the cliff and seeing the almost a 360 degree view of the clear blue water we decided to take a picture. So we got someone to take the picture for us, that is when, I looked over and he was down on one knee. I shouted "YES," before he even said anything, and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you soon!
