Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are at The Whim. The Whim 655 19th Ave NE Minneapolis, MN 55418

Question

Can I bring a date to the wedding?

Answer

When you RSVP on the website, a prompt may appear asking for the name of your date if a plus one option was extended to you. Please type their name in and select their meal option here if you plan on bringing a date!

Question

Is there parking available at The Whim?

Answer

Yes! There are 89 free on-site parking spots for our guests, so parking should be no problem if you plan to drive. If you have too much fun at the party, it will be okay to leave your car in the parking lot overnight. Please just pick it up by 10:00 AM the next day.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Typical wedding guest attire. All events will be located indoors. Dresses or dressy jumpsuits suggested for the ladies. Suits or dress shirt/pants suggested for the men.

Question

Can I take pictures or a video during the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be "unplugged" - meaning that we politely ask that you not take any photos or videos during the ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and videographer at the ceremony to catch all the important details, so we ask that you just sit back and enjoy the moment. Feel free to take pictures and videos outside of the ceremony though!

Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

Answer

Guests can start arriving as soon as 4:00 PM. Enjoy live music until the ceremony starts at 4:30 PM.

Question

When does the event end?

Answer

Party will go until midnight!

Question

What is the bar situation?

Answer

We will be hosting three specialty cocktails that are batched and made ahead of time. These will be available until they run out. We will also be hosting a defined number of beers, wines, cider, and sodas. Cash bar will also be available the whole night if you would like something else.

Question

Any recommendations for people from out of town to check out while they are in the Twin Cities for the wedding?

Answer

If you haven't been, you should check out the Mall of America while you are here! Other ideas for things to do include the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Minnehaha Falls (waterfall and walking trails), Como Park Zoo & Conservatory (free), and the Science Museum of Minnesota.
