Amanda and Joel were introduced by friends at an epic Halloween party in 2023. They immediately hit it off, and a few days later Joel asked Amanda out on their first date. By the end of the evening, Amanda was pretty sure Joel was the man she was going to marry...but Joel isn't one to rush into things. Besides, he had spent the last few months living on a sail boat in the Outer Banks, and was just a few weeks away from embarking on a journey across the Atlantic Ocean to South America with his groomsman, Adam. Over the weeks and months that followed, their mutual love for travel, nature, and creativity brought them closer, and they spent as much time as they could together in between their individual travels and projects. Eventually, Joel came back to Cincinnati full-time and things got serious. Joel is an artist and architect and Amanda is a writer, and their passions and goals compliment one another in every way. Since making things official, they've traveled together to Panama, Guatemala, Costa Rica (twice), France, Morocco, Puerto Rico, and multiple U.S. states. They've climbed mountains, swam in the sea, paddled wild rivers, and renovated a 130 year old house together. It's finally finished thanks to Joel's hard work, and they're all moved in with their beloved dog Rio and their bunny Pim. Joel and Amanda are so excited to keep experiencing life's many twists and turns together and they can't wait to tie the knot surrounded by their families and friends at one of their mutual favorite places on earth.
