Joel and Alexa first met back in high school. They did not go to the same high school, but they hung out with the same group of friends. It was all glances and greetings in passing. Years later, Alexa wound up working at the YMCA and Joel applied for a trainer position. Little did Joel know that Alexa was the one who denied him the position because the girl who hired him, was not one of Alexa’s favorite people. Fast forward some more time. Turns out, they had a mutual friend between them, Celeste; she more or less introduced them while attending a party. Alexa detested Joel’s small talk and cleared out so that he would leave her alone. Joel eventually got his second chance at his birthday party where Joel’s Pop grabbed Alexa and asked her to dance with him so that he can spin her toward him. Very smooth. He was finally able to get her number and the rest is history. Now they plan the beginning of their forever.
