Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to a limited guest list, additional guests will not be permitted at this event. We want to make sure that we have everyone who is closest to us there to celebrate with us on our special day. Each invite is directed towards the specific guest(s) invited. Thank you for understanding, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome. Please let us know on your rsvp how many kids will be attending so that we can be sure to have a goody bag ready for them.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to Colorado, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Loveland should be beautiful, averaging 70-80 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking near the ceremony site and near the front entrance of The Garden Room.

Are the ceremony and reception venues wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, they both are.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal so please dress accordingly - nice clothes like slacks, dress shirt, dresses etc.. NO jeans, t-shirts or sneakers please. We want everyone looking their best for pictures. Dress-up, have fun with it and enjoy this wonderful celebration with us.

Is the wedding indoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors but our reception will be indoors; there will be AC. For those of you who are not used to Colorado weather, prepare for changes throughout the day. ☀️☁️🌦️☀️🌈 Plan and hope for a nice, sunny day. If weather isn't good by the time of the ceremony, we will be moving it to the reception area.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't wear?

Answer

There will be sidewalks and concrete stairs to our wedding ceremony. We are planning to dance the night away so make sure to bring back up dancing shoes if you don't want to dance in heels. No sneakers please unless you have to for health and safety.

Is it ok to take pictures with phones or cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them to our Facebook messengers or text them to us. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. From when our wedding party starts walking down, to when we leave please, refrain from using your phones. We will have professional photographers taking pictures and want everyone to enjoy the ceremony and look nice in our pictures.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We will try to accommodate everyone to the best of our ability. We will have vegan options for vegetarians and vegans, and we will have gluten-free options available as well. If you have another dietary restriction please let us know, we will do our best to meet your needs. If your restriction is very serious (for example, Celiac Disease or severe peanut allergy) and you need to follow strict guidelines, please let us know and we will be happy to do everything we can to accommodate you.

Will transportation be provided from the reception to hotels?

Answer

NO. Transportation will not be provided so please make plans to carpool with friends or family, or use transportation services like Uber or Lyft (especially if you decide to drink at the wedding). The hotels I've blocked out are close to reception venue.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

There is going to be lots of dancing so bring your dancing shoes and prepare to party! We're finally getting married! Woot Woot!

Is there a Gift Registry?

Answer

We will be having a honeymoon registry and a small gift registry. We have lived together and have been on our own for years so we have just about everything we need for our home. We have chosen things we want to eventually update in our home. If you would like to give us a gift, you can look there but what we would really like is donations to our honeymoon fund. We love to travel so we would like to the enjoy the time we will have off after the wedding in Jamaica at Ocho Rios Sandals resort.

What if I want to donate my services to the cause instead of a gift?

Please let us know if you would like to gift us your services and what you would like to do. We are open to anything and would love the help. Please email us at griffinhobbiewedding@gmail.com and in the subject line put "Gifting Services" and message us with ideas of what you would like to do! or text us if you have our numbers.

Are there any colors guests should avoid wearing?

Please avoid wearing white!

Are masks required? Will they be provided?

Answer

Masks are not required, nor will they be provided. You are more than welcome to wear one, however. We respect anyone who chooses to wear a mask or to not. Please do what will make you feel most comfortable, we would love to have you there.

Will the ceremony and reception be socially distanced?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors and there is room to socially distance from other guests. The reception is indoors and we will update you on how we plan to socially distance if needed.

Will you have a babysitter on the premises?

Answer

No we will not. Please have babysitters lined up, if you are choosing to keep the kids at home. If you choose to bring your kids, you are responsible for them. If they cause problems and the problems aren't addressed, we will have someone ask you to leave. We don't want it to come to that so please be respectful and keep a watchful eye over them. There will be an open bar, if there is an underage kid drinking they will be asked to leave including the adults who are in charge of them.

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Answer

Joel and Liz have debated this so much. Liz has decided to keep her name but will be adding Griffin to it. Her name means the world to her and its one of the last things she has left of her family and wants to honor that. Joel respects this and wants her to keep it if that's what she would prefer. He is happy she is adding his but is also okay with it if she doesn't. Joel will be keeping his name. Elizabeth Charlene Hobbie-Griffin and Joel Lee Griffin.

PARTY it up!!! We have spent so much time and money making this day perfect so please enjoy it. Dance with us and lets make this day memorable!
