We’re getting married!

Becca and Joel met on Bumble (a dating app) in 2017. They had their first date after a night shift, where they drank mimosas and watched The Goonies. They bonded over each others love for the outdoors, playing games and appreciation for adventure.

Joel proposed July 6th, 2021 in Colorado at St. Mary's Glacier. Becca flew to CO to visit her sister for the week, and unfortunately Joel worked 4th of July weekend and couldn't come with.... or so Becca thought. To Becca's complete surprise, Joel flew to CO after working all weekend. He hiked St. Mary's Glacier where he waited for Becca to make it to the top. Joel came up behind Becca, dropped to one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" Becca of course said yes (after saying, "How are you here right now?" many, many times), champagne was popped, and lots of tears were shed. Although Joel was in CO less than 48 hours, he made the trip unforgettable.
