Wedding Party

You'll have to meet them in person to understand just how awesome they are, but we're going to do our best to introduce some of the best people around!

Katie Walworth

Maid of Honor

Katie is Patty's older sister. They've known each other for almost 30 years, and they've been friends for...probably 26.75 of those :) Even though Patty has always been super competitive with Katie (and she DOES NOT CARE AT ALL which is the annoying part! It's not as fun to win against someone who isn't trying), she has always been the most calm and caring person you'll ever meet, and a great role model who pushes Patty to be a better person. And to buy more clothes so that she can shop at the coolest store around, Patty's closet.

Chris Spracklen

Best Man

Chris is Joe's younger brother and the Best Man. Despite a somewhat rocky start for the first 15-16 years, we have followed a very similar path from junior hockey to West Point to active duty and have remained very close. Chris has an infectious personality that makes him pretty much universally liked and a lot of fun to be around. The Vegas odds currently have Chris as the 2-to-1 favorite to be the first guy on the dance floor, and I certainly wouldn’t bet against it!

Sarah Hansen

Bridesmaid

"Do you want to be my roommate in dental school?" -Sarah "Umm...no thanks." - Patty Don't let that introduction fool you, Patty and Sarah have been great friends since they first chatted on Facebook after finding out that Sarah's aunt had been Patty's dental hygienist her whole life, and now they were going to be dental school classmates. They immediately bonded over their love of shopping and cookies, and have run many miles together! Sarah is the world's best orthodontist and the sweetest friend! She is always there for you...and that includes on 2 for $40 Wednesdays (including a whole bottle of wine, what?!), at Hard Core gym class, and even helps out when you decide to make Packzis, apple pie from scratch, or homemade poptarts.

Jared Retter

Groomsman

Jared and I have been friends since we discovered we both enjoy having hard rubber discs shot at us at high rates of speed (both were goalies in hockey). Jared is one of the most unique people you’ll ever meet and is constantly working to master yet another hobby. Whether he is making his own wine, starting his own custom fishing rod business (in addition to his day job), taking outstanding photos, or co-founding the wildly popular Goalie Club, Retter always does it better. RCB baby!

Jen Hoover

Bridesmaid

Jen and Patty met in a unique way in Shiple dorm at UDM in 2007. There were some definite creepers on the 4th floor and Aaron tried to save them both by locking them in Patty's dorm room until the coast was clear! Although they were both confused at first, they got to talking and knew this was the beginning of something good. They share a love of X/O tan lines (lifeguards have the BEST tans), drinking Malibu straight (that's not actually a good idea, we've learned that by now), and driving across the country to spend time on the beach! Jen is one of the most caring and devoted friends you'll ever find, and Patty is forever thankful to Aaron for saving them both 12 years ago.

Brian Petty

Groomsman

Brian and Joe met on the golf course and became fast friends while waiting around for Dave Collins (see below) to “find” his ball in the woods. Brian is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet who would do anything to help a friend. When he’s not retrieving his clubs from the nearest pond or tree, Brian also enjoys snap hooks, never backing down from large poker pots, and sending it. If you’re looking for the life of the wedding reception, look no further. Are you silly? This guy’s gonna send it!

Katie Senkiw

Bridesmaid

To this day, Patty and Katie's meeting is still probably the most awkward first meeting between two people in maybe all the history of forever! But Patty definitely couldn't have survived her first year of Army life without this girl, especially C4. Or at least it would have been a whole lot less fun. She's got the most spunk you'll ever see in one person, and is fiercely protective of the people she loves. And she's got a great plan for a rescue dog farm where she'll care for thousands of puppies in the future. What's not to love about that?! Shut up and eat your damn patriotic cookies!

AJ Sanders

Groomsman

AJ is a native Alaskan who I met through mutual friends in the hockey world. AJ was a fellow goalie until the age of 16, when he discovered he had silky mitts and a lethal shot (a certain injury may have also contributed) and transitioned to playing forward. AJ is still living the dream playing semi-professional (sort of) hockey in Jackson, WY for the Jackson Moose. After leading the team in scoring for 4 years in a row he got bored and is now serving as the team’s enforcer, showing just how soft that league has become.

Jenna Spracklen

Bridesmaid

Jenna is Joe's sister and the youngest of the Spracklen clan. Patty was super nervous to meet her in the Summer of 2017 after Jenna was not impressed with Patty's Instagram skills, but after a trip to Dutch Brother's coffee, and lots of chatting/embarrassing stories about Joe on the way to the cabin, it was clear they would get along just fine! Jenna is a super talented cheerleader and the best Nerts player around, and Patty is super excited to have her as a sister :)

Martin Walworth

Groomsman

Martin is Patty’s younger brother and . Martin and I have only met a few times, but quickly found common ground talking about computer games, cryptocurrency, and agreeing on the correct way to pronounce “gif” (it’s JIF like the peanut butter and anyone who disagrees is a terrorist). In addition to being incredibly smart, he also enjoys camping and is one heck of a cook!

Dave Collins

Usher

Dave “Piney” Collins is an absolute beauty and truly a one-of-a-kind guy. Dave loves to golf and fish more than anyone else I know, so it’s no surprise that we became friends. He is famous for his unwavering optimism on the course, his terrible golf swing (physically painful to watch), and being able to save a par from anywhere on the course. Dave will strike up a conversation with just about anyone, so most of you will get the chance to meet this legend in person.
