We are both so grateful and excited to celebrate our love while bringing together our friends and family for an amazing weekend.

It was Saturday, March 4th of 2017, and UNC Chapel Hill was playing Duke in basketball. Pam's girlfriend Liz asked her about going to a sports bar named Brazwell's. Pam of course was ecstatic to go out and watch the game, so she made sure to get there early enough to ensure she had a perfect view of the TV to watch the game. At halftime, UNC was up by 1 point so Pam and Liz decided to leave in order to watch the rest of the game at their homes. After taking a few steps into the parking lot, a stranger (Joe) approaches. Joe then claims, "I've never done this before, but would you like to have coffee or tea with me?". Pam, uninterestedly, says, "I'm going through a tough divorce and you don't want to be a part of this." Joe immediately responds, "we all go through difficult times," so Pam agrees and Joe hands her his business card. The next day, Pam talks to her sister, Deb, who encourages her to go on the date. Pam then calls her brother, Michael, to ask his opinion. Confused, Michael explained how "it's been nearly a year and a half and that it's just coffee or tea. You're not marrying the guy!". Pam then decides to contact Joe to set up a date. Fast forward to the following Thursday afternoon, March 9th, when Joe and Pam met up for coffee and tea at Rush's Espresso Cafe. To say that Pam didn't talk much would be an understatement, but luckily, Joe was a great conversationalist and carried the whole conversation. Interestingly enough, Joe asked for a second date. Their second date took place at New Zealand Cafe which was a great success until Pam asked Joe, "Please don't take this the wrong way, but where exactly were you sitting at the bar that night?". Joe then looked at her with disbelief and asked, "What do you mean? You were smiling right at me!". Pam swears she never saw him, so a picture was drawn to show where Joe was sitting. As it turns out, there was a TV above Joe's head that Pam continuously watched. UNC was winning!!
