The Wedding Website of Meg Mylan and Joe Schuyler

Our wedding will take place at a pre-Civil War warehouse located in The 1838 Garner Historic District. The first textile mill on the property was built in 1830. In 1838, the plant was purchased by the Garner brothers and expanded, employing more than 800 people. During the Civil War, Rockland Print Works manufactured uniforms for the Union Army of the North. By 1915 the textile mill was producing 1.6 million yards of cloth per week. While Garnerville no longer functions as a textile mill, the Garner Arts Center, as the terminal and mills are now known, has become a hive of artists and craftsmen. In 2013, the New York State Historic Preservation Office listed the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center "GARNER Historic District" on the State Historic Register of Historic Places as the “Rockland Print Works Historic District”.
