September 22, 2018 is the first day of Oktoberfest at Bear Mountain. Feel free to arrive early, check in, and explore the tents and performances. There are also hiking trails surrounding the Inn but if you'd rather observe nature from your car, feel free to drive up to Perkins Peak, where Joe and I went for our first hike.
Built in 1915, the Bear Mountain Inn offers a spa, cafe, tapas bar and gift shop in addition to the stunning backdrop rich with history.
Right around the corner from our house and the perfect place for a stroll, as long as you don't have the dogs with you!
Have kids? This was where the Gonzalez kids spent too many days to count with the abuelos. Take a stroll through and see the monkeys, bobcats, bison and more!
Staying a little closer to our venue? Check out this place, its a great stop after a long day of hiking and did we mention there's a beach? Kick off your shoes and have a beer in the back where they've laid down sand and beach chairs next to the stream. And for motorcycle enthusiasts...check out their parking lot.
