FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

June 1st, 2021

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

Yes.

Question

What COVID restrictions will there be?

Answer

We believe in science, so whatever the CDC recommends is what we'll be following. Please know your health is our #1 priority and we will make all decisions regarding COVID with your safety in mind.

Question

If I already RSVPed to the 2020 date, do I need to RSVP again to the 2021 date?

Answer

YES! We will need to get a new RSVP from everyone so we know you're confirmed for the new date.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You will receive a pre-stamped envelope and RSVP card with your invitation. Please fill it out fully including the names of everyone in your party and a song recommendation. Simply stick that in the mail, and you're good to go! It's very important you RSVP even if it's a "no," as we will need to tell our caterer a headcount a few weeks prior to the big day. We will contact you on June 2nd if we have not received an RSVP.

Question

What time should I get to the venue?

Answer

Please arrive at 1:30 p.m. Our ceremony will start promptly at 2 p.m. This means everyone needs to be in their seat well before that time!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

While we don't expect anyone to wear black tie, we do look forward to seeing everyone dressed up. The theme of the day is "garden party," so please dress accordingly! You can never be overdressed!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, we do! You can find our registry on the "Registry" tab of this website! Gifts can be mailed directly to us or to you - whatever works best for you. We have included several cash funds in there for our honeymoon in addition to plenty of items we need for our home. However, we absolutely do not expect a gift from anyone. Your attendence is a present in itself! :)

Question

I'm coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

Please visit the "Travel" tab on our website for a variety of lodging recommendations. Since most of our guests are local, we have not reserved hotel blocks or anything of that nature. Please let us know if you have difficulty finding lodging.

Question

What about transportation? How do I get there?

Answer

While there is free parking at the venue, we highly encourage everyone to please consider using Uber or Lyft for their transportation. We anticipate throwing a great party, and we don't want anyone worrying about driving under the influence. Although our venue may seem "rural," our venue owner has assured us that Uber and Lyft are super popular in the area due to the amount of venues out there. You should have no problem ordering a ride wherever you need! Please do not drink and drive.

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yep! Head on over to Yella Beak Saloon just down the road after our reception ends. We'll see you there!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We want all of our family and friends to use our wedding as an excuse to have a date night, let loose, and dance the night away! However, if you have difficulty finding childcare, we totally understand!

Question

What food will you be serving? What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will be serving a selection of FIVE pizzas and two salads for dinner! We will have one of the pizza options be gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan. If there are any other severe allergies, please contact Madeleine or Joe directly before June 1st.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

On your RSVP card, you should see a field that says "Accepts for _____ / _____ with pleasure." In the second blank space, there should be a number. That is the number of seats you have been allotted. So, for example, if your invite was addressed to JUST you and your RSVP says "Accepts for _____ / 2 with pleasure," you have been given two seats (AKA a plus one). Another example would be if the invite was addressed to "The Smith Family" and the Smith family has four people in it, the RSVP card might read "Accepts for _____ / 4 with pleasure." In this case, that would mean you have only been alloted four seats and no plus ones are allowed. If you are uncertain or have more questions, please contact Joe or Madeleine directly.
