We met at a yoga class in Santa Cruz, Bolivia in 2021. Joe was a few months into his teaching contract at the American school in Santa Cruz, and Luciana was home from university due to the pandemic. After the yoga class, Luciana's sister, Adriana, got us talking. We wouldn't go on our first date until about a month later after running into each other at the same yoga class. We spent the evening in the historic center of Santa Cruz each hoping that we were on a date, but both a little unsure.
