Almost all of you have been apart of our 10 year love story. Joe and I began dating our junior year in high school. He let me decide where to go on our first date. At 17 years old and with just enough money to put gas in my mom's car to pick Joe up, of course I chose my favorite fast food restaurant...Taco Bell. Our first year of dating included lots of trips to the movies, Bruins games, and ice cream. As the year went on and we approached our 1st anniversary date we decided to upgrade from Taco Bell and move onto the Cheesecake Factory and bowling. If we are being honest it wasn't the best date... Joe and I are both very competitive people and after losing to him in bowling I decided I wasn't going to talk to him for the rest of the day. I must have gotten over the loss as Joe and I have now been together for 10 years. At the end of the day we were young and in love and that's all the mattered. As the years passed we began to realize we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We stood by each other for countless achievements and have always been the biggest supporter of one another. Our dates have changed from Taco bell to the Corrib Pub in Brighton and snuggling on the couch with Cookie, our crazy dog. When Joe decided it was time to put a ring on my hand he knew all I wanted was to be able to celebrate with family and friends. A weekend away with my college best friends was planned and I became suspicious when Joe mentioned we should order pizzas and go to the beach on one of the days. If you know Joe, the beach is not his favorite. However, it is mine and I became quickly aware that he wanted to bring me there to propose. I started asking him if I should pack white clothes instead of the comfy sweatshirts I planned on. My nail appointment was set for the day before we left. Well…that plan quickly changed as Joe decided to surprise everyone and propose to me when I got home from my new job in our apartment on 11/8/2022. If you have seen the video you know I was completely caught off guard. He knelt down gracefully on one knee (after practicing to make sure his pants wouldn't split) and played our favorite song. It was better than I could have imagined and we celebrated with friends and family all weekend. We are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of our love story. We are truly so lucky to have so many family and friends that are excited to see us finally tie the knot. 09/21/2024 see you there :)
