We met on Tinder and we must have been the only two normal people within a 30 mile radius because we swiped right! Actually, Joe “Super Liked” Lia, but he denies it! We first met up in person at the Asbury Ale House and our first real date was at Shogun Legends that same week.
Joe threw me off a few times. First he had me thinking he was going to propose at a baseball game because he reserved a box and told me to make sure my parents came. Thankfully that didn’t happen, because I don’t like baseball or public proposals. Then he had me thinking he was going to propose on our 2-year anniversary. On June 19, about two weeks before our anniversary, we drove up to NYC to go to The Cloisters Museum, and then I started to think something was up because I’ve always wanted to go to the Cloisters. But then it started pouring and Joe said we couldn’t go to the Cloisters anymore so then I didn’t think anything of it. We were walking around the city and Joe said to stop at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. He wandered into the courtyard of the New York Palace right across the street and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! The best part was that he had a photographer following us the whole time to capture the moment, but I didn’t even realize we were being followed until I looked up and saw a guy in our faces with a camera!
