Lauren and Joe grew up attending Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where they remember seeing each other in Sunday school. The two reconnected when moving back to Pennsylvania after college - Joe from Utah where he got his first job out of school and Lauren from NYC where she went to school. They talked during the church greeting time and before/after the service. Joe asked Lauren if she wanted to get coffee or hot chocolate sometime, and Lauren suggested dessert!
