How and when should I RSVP and reserve my room?

To RSVP, simply reserve your room through our booking link by placing a $150 deposit per person. If you've already submitted your deposit, you're considered a yes! If your plans have changed, please let us know as soon as possible. 🔗 https://requests.paradiseweddings.com/sites/kristi-and-joe Group Code: 1114 We have a limited number of rooms in our block and space at the venues we picked, so reserving early helps us manage headcount and ensures the best rate. This is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort, which means your stay includes all meals, beverages (yes, alcohol too!), and tons of activities. All you need to do is show up and relax.

Is the wedding adults-only?

Yes, the resort is adults-only (18+). Although we love the little ones, they are not allowed at the resort. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can enjoy a relaxing, kid-free getaway.

How do I get to the resort from the airport?
Answer
When you book your room through our room block site (https://requests.paradiseweddings.com/sites/kristi-and-joe | CODE: 1114), you'll have the option to add private and safe roundtrip transportation between Cancun airport and the hotel for $150 per person. This is the most straightforward option, and the travel agent will reach out to collect your flight details and arrange the transfer. If you're a seasoned traveler and prefer to explore other options, there are many websites where you can find round-trip transfers at a lower cost. Additionally, it can be more economical to book a larger private shuttle if you know other guests arriving at the same time! Yes, we are requesting that guests who are attending the wedding stay at Secrets Akumal, as the resort requires it. If this is an issue, please talk to us directly. There are fees and other requirements for non-guests, and for ease of planning on the wedding day, we hope you'll join us for 3 nights at this beautiful resort.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya is a luxurious all-inclusive resort featuring 7 restaurants, 3 pools, and countless activities. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included, so once you arrive, there's no need to worry about extra costs. While gratuities are appreciated, they are not mandatory. With everything from live music to snorkeling with sea turtles, there’s always something to do—or you can simply relax by the pool.

Do I need a passport?
Answer
Yes, a valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. It must not expire within 6 months of the wedding date, so if it expires before May 2026, renew it now!

What should I do if I need to change/cancel my reservation?

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact our travel agency ASAP. To make any changes to your booking or manage payments, it's necessary to email guests@paradise or give them a call @ (877) 737-0177. The booking site doesn’t have an editing feature, but they are happy to help with any adjustments or payment plan customizations through those channels. They can keep the credit card used for the first deposit on file, or they can send payment links if needed. Name changes: $50 per person after the reservation is paid in full Cancellations: June 20 – July 22, 2025 – Deposits are non-refundable After July 23, 2025 – No refunds on room cancellations

Thursday (Nov 13): 5:00–6:00 PM – Wedding Rehearsal (Bridal Party) 6:00–8:00 PM – Welcome Party with cocktails & appetizers (All Guests) 📍 Market Café Terrace Friday (Nov 14): Wedding Ceremony at 4:30 PM Saturday (Nov 15): Chill day! We’ll be hanging at the pool, snorkeling, and relaxing with everyone — join us! We are checking out Monday and traveling around Mexico for the week. If you’re thinking of extending your trip, request extra days ASAP — the resort is already nearing full capacity.
