Savannah

Although technically in South Carolina, Palmetto Bluff is located right outside of Savannah, Georgia. The closest airport is Savannah/Hilton Head airport (SAV). Once you fly into Savannah, Palmetto Bluff is 25 miles or approximately 35 minutes from the airport. Ubers and Taxis are readily available, and car service can also be arranged in advance using Diamond Transportation (more on this below). If you are planning on booking through the Montage, there is no need to rent a car. The Montage has a fleet of courtesy cars available for guests to use free of charge if you are interested in venturing off-property. Additionally, please note the Montage does charge daily for parking.

Flight

Charleston

There are likely more direct and less expensive flights to Charleston as compared to Savannah. The drive is just under 2 hours and car rentals are available at the airport.

Montage Palmetto Bluff

All wedding festivities will be taking place at the Montage Resort, this is the closest place to stay as you will be on the property. Nestled along the May River in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, the 20,000-acre Montage Palmetto Bluff “campus” community encompasses an extensive nature preserve, walking trails, a vibrant village, marina, restaurants, and a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The property features a charming collection of hotel rooms, cottages and rental homes all situated on the same campus, amongst vibrant waterfronts and tranquil forests. VRBO / Airbnb

There are several houses available to rent on the Montage's property that are privately owned. The houses are of various configurations and accommodate different guest counts. If interested in renting one of these homes with friends and/or family, please visit VRBO.com or Airbnb.com and search "Palmetto Bluff" for available options. Also check out VRBO/AirBnB options in the town of Bluffton, which is 10 minutes off the Montage’s property. Hampton Inn & Suites Bluffton-Sun City

We have negotiated a rate at the Hampton Inn for Friday and Saturday night of our wedding weekend. The hotel is just 15 minutes from the resort, and offers guest rooms with a king or two queen beds as well as studio rooms in similar configurations with a sleeper sofa. House Or Rental

Hilton Head Island

For those guests interested in making a beach vacation out of their trip to the Lowcountry, Hilton Head Island is approximately 35 minutes from Palmetto Bluff and is home to many resorts, hotels and vacation homes. Travel Note

Getting Around Palmetto Bluff

For those staying on the property, we do not recommend renting a car. There are many activities on-site to enjoy and the best way to get around the resort is on foot, bike or golf cart. If you are interested in renting a bike or golf cart, we strongly recommend doing so in advance. For reservations please call the Recreation team at (855) 706-6628. Note that resort staff are also on-call and constantly circulating on carts to shuttle people around the property. If you choose to walk, all wedding events are within 5 minutes. Additional activities on the property are all within 15 minutes walking distance.

As an alternative to Uber, please find below the contact information for suggested car services. Please keep in mind that although hailing an Uber for travel from the airport TO Palmetto Bluff is very easy, there are a limited number of drivers readily available once in Palmetto Bluff.
