It started like any modern fairytale: being set up by two friends and stalking each other's social media accounts. Our first date was just supposed to be low commitment, you know, just in case someone was a catfish or a murderer. Instead, in turned into something neither of us knew we wanted... a second date. Then just one adorably awkward first kiss later, we were hooked. Over the next several months, we discovered a lot about each other: * One of us didn't always need dessert after dinner (freaking weirdo) * The other already had a jump start on their future family * And one thought they didn't need to ask me to be their girlfriend... "I should've just known" **freaking eyeroll**. Over the next 4 years, there were ups and downs, someone moving 1,200 miles away *cough cough, Kayla cough*, But somehow between the heart ache of a long-distance relationship, and spending way too much on flights to see each other, we realized that this is it, this is our person. The proposal was perfect, nerve wracking for Joe, but absolutely perfect to Kayla. He proposed while on a trip to celebrate their 4-year anniversary and that they were finally living together. He even had Ella be involved and made a promise to always love her as his own, (Thats her Joey, and they love each other). It was then, that Kayla knew for sure, it was worth the wait. It also helps that the ring was perfect, and she bagged an absolute hunk... Hehe. Now we are here: getting married, raising two beautiful girls together, and wondering how we both found someone who not only tolerates us and our weirdness, but enthusiastically joins in.
