In a truly full circle moment, we met at the rehearsal dinner of our friends' wedding! We coincidentally sat next to each other and started talking about Marvel (both of us pretended to be way less obsessed than we actually are). And, yes, the friends who got married when we met are in our bridal party!

We went to Gillian's family lake house after several days of bourbon and golf in Louisville. Gillian's immediate family, Joe's parents, and some friends came with us. Everyone (except Gillian, duh) knew the proposal was going to happen, and Gillian genuinely believed everyone just happened to come to the lake house at the same time! On Friday, May 17th, Joe asked Gillian to go for a quick walk to the lake with the dog. Once they were back at the house, Joe got down on one knee, asked the important question and everyone's tears started. This was followed by a wonderful, champagne-filled dance party!
