FAQs

Question

What precautions are you taking in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic?

Answer

We are monitoring local government information, as well as Minnesota Department of Health and CDC guidance for COVID-19 protocols.

Question

Will you be requiring a COVID-19 vaccine to attend?

Answer

We hope you have been vaccinated! It is the best and most effective way of preventing illness and hospitalization from COVID-19. However, we are not requiring vaccinations due to both of our venues being outdoors. If you are unvaccinated we ask that you please test prior to attending, on your honor.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Unfortunately, since we are not doing a single hotel block, we are unable to provide transportation to the ceremony or reception venues. If you will be drinking at the reception please plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in a Minnesota State Park, which requires a single use pass for the ceremony (or yearly parking pass if you already have one). We will provide the pass if you indicate one is needed in the RSVP. The reception venue has a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle overnight if needed.

Question

If I need a State Park day pass, what do I do?

Answer

Upon arrival, please stop in the park office. Let the attendant know that you are here for the Young-Birkholz wedding and require a day pass. We have prepurchased passes for our guests. They will give you one for you to put in your car during the ceremony.

Question

There are two entrances to the state park. Which one should we go to?

Answer

Excellent question! -If coming from the Twin Cities or Chisago Lakes Area, please use the first entrance descending the hill on Highway 8 before Taylors Falls. -If coming from St. Croix Falls or Wisconsin, please go through the intersection at Taylors Falls and continue up the hill to the entrance further up Highway 8. For reference: the wedding ceremony is is being held at the farthest picnic shelter, closest to the campgrounds.

Question

Attire?

Answer

Please dress nice, it is a wedding! However, the reception is at a working orchard and there will be opportunities for people to play yard games, kids to run around, or go for a short stroll. Feel free to dress your children and/or toddlers appropriately for this. Additionally, women should make sure to have a pair of comfy shoes. You cannot dance on the dance floor barefoot.
