Our love story!

“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” Joe first noticed Cassandra in a virtual Bible study through Real Church in January 2025. Both were patiently waiting on God’s perfect timing to find a soulmate. A few months later, in April, they began greeting each other at Church—short, intentional conversations that quickly felt more meaningful than small talk. Their first introduction came when Cassandra saw Joe walking through the entrance at Church. As he approached, she instinctively fixed her hair and tried to play it cool. They introduced themselves and shook hands though the handshake lingered just a bit longer than usual. The following week, they exchanged a heartfelt hug that felt different, even passionate. During that conversation, Joe admitted he was a ‘baby Christian’ having only begun his faith journey the previous September. With gentle boldness Cassandra corrected him: “You’re not a 'baby' Christian. Don’t identify as that.” Joe was both struck and intrigued by her courage to affirm his true identity in Christ. They remained patient, trusting in God’s timing. Shortly after, while Joe was driving, he heard a clear word from God: “You are ready.” That Friday at Church, he prayed “Lord, who is the woman You have for me?” The answer came instantly: “It is her.” After service—nervous but hopeful—Joe asked Cassandra to join him for lunch on Sunday. She said yes, and when he suggested LongHorn Steakhouse, she laughed and said “Who doesn’t love a good steak?” What began as a simple lunch on Mother’s Day, stretched into five hours. As they shared dreams, faith, and intentions, laughter and conversation carried on so effortlessly that they lost track of time it felt as though they had known each other for years. When Cassandra described herself as “honest and transparent,” Joe grinned and said “Yeah, you’re pretty HOT!” She laughed and blushed—until he clarified with a smile “Honest, Open, and Transparent—HOT. I think I'm HOT too.” Cassandra laughed again and replied “Thank you, let’s be HOT together!” The next day they talked on the phone for hours and every day after. Three days later, Cassandra prayed to God for confirmation that Joe was the Husband she had been waiting for. She had been faithfully praying for over a year—even writing a list of “God’s To-Do’s" describing the kind of man she hoped for. The very next day a wise woman from Church texted her, asking if she and Joe were conversing outside of Church—adding that she could see them as a couple. While it was a sweet confirmation, Cassandra asked God for one more sign, something beyond another person's opinion. That evening while walking on the beach, she came across words etched in the sand: first "Jesus loves you!” and then, to her amazement, the name “Joe.” Standing by the ocean she whispered, “Thank You, Lord. I see You!” About a week after they met, Joe opened his heart and shared the confirmations God had spoke to him: “You are ready” and “It is her.” Cassandra hesitated, holding close the depth of what she already knew in her spirit. But Joe’s gentle encouragement to remain “HOT” (Honest, Open, and Transparent) gave her the courage to share her own confirmations. In that moment, walls came down, hearts opened wide, and what began as a spark quickly blossomed into a love that grew deeper with every conversation. They discovered many shared joys—faith, sports, creative projects, board games, a healthy and active lifestyle, and even the thrill of rollercoasters, to name a few. They also uncovered a playful competitive spirit that adds fun and energy to their relationship, turning every moment together into an adventure. What felt almost too good to be true was no coincidence—it was God’s gift: real, true, and undeniable. They believe God brought them together to complement one another, build each other up, and walk side by side in faith, as iron sharpens iron. With God at the center, they feel deeply blessed & grateful for the love they get to share.
