Are children invited?

Sadly, no. We adore your children! But our venue and budget are limited.

Can I bring a date or plus-one?

Answer

We ask that you only bring those included on your invitation, purely because of financial and spatial limitations.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is encouraged. No jeans or shorts, please!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

San Juan Capistrano is near the coast, making it a little cooler. But February in Southern California is a crap shoot. It could be 65° or 95°, or anything between. We're planning on an outdoor ceremony, but we'll move the whole shindig inside if it rains.

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Franciscan Gardens doesn't have a dedicated lot, but the $2/hr parking structure at 26701 Verdugo St is very close. Use the driveway to the left of the Provincial Building. (Also a great pickup/dropoff spot.) There's also limited street parking, and other public parking areas a little further away.

Why a Thursday?

Answer

We love this venue but couldn't afford weekend prices. (It was either that or switch to a cash bar!) If you're from out of town, consider extending your SoCal trip into the weekend! There's plenty to see and do.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

No. If you consume self-provided alcohol, the venue can cancel the event on the spot. Don't get our wedding cancelled! Please enjoy beer or wine at the open bar instead.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Answer

Not inside the venue or in the courtyard, but there is a public sidewalk right in front of the venue.

What's the venue like?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in a beautiful courtyard with tall hedges to provide shade. We'll move inside at the same location for the reception.
