Amanda and Joe found each other through a dating app “Bumble.” They both downloaded the app a few days before they matched on January 9, 2023. Their conversation flowed so easily since they had a lot in common including their love for food, spicy margaritas and traveling. They went on their first date in Park Slope at Casa Azul restaurant on January 20, 2023 and they both could not stop thinking about each other from that first date. Their second date was exactly a week later where they shared their first kiss. Joe was celebrating his 35th birthday that weekend with friends and asked if Amanda would come celebrate and meet his friends. By their third date Amanda had met most of Joe’s close friends. On February 18, 2023 Joe made the relationship official and asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. Amanda had a solo trip planned for February and Joe mentioned possibly coming. The next thing you know, after only 5 weeks of knowing each other, they spent their first vacation in Punta Cana together for a week. That trip definitely confirmed that they both were very into each other. They spent so much time together and learned so much about each other. They both agreed they simply couldn't see themselves without one another going forward. Their traveling continued short after to Grenada, the Cayman Islands, the Catskills, Jupiter, Florida, Disney World, Nashville, Bahamas, Jamaica, South Carolina, Curaçao, Salem, Mexico, Barbados, St Maarten, Anguilla and Europe. They traveled to Greece which was on both of their bucket lists and Paris. Amanda has been to Paris before and always said she found it so romantic and wanted to go back when she met the love of her life. Little did Amanda know that their trip to Paris would be an unforgettable one and Joe would make all of her dreams come true by proposing to her on September 9, 2024. Life has simply just been so much better for both Amanda and Joe by having each other to share it with. They both knew from very early into their relationship that they wanted to spend forever together. Some people would think they were crazy and it was too early to know. But, as they say ... “when you know, you know.” They make each other better people, complete each others sentences, and get each other like no one else. There is nothing they both have been more sure about in their life. They are both looking forward to many more years of love, laughter, happiness, traveling, good health and so many more memories to come!
