Joseph and Amanda both attended the University of Delaware in 2015 and graduated a semester early in December of 2018. Joseph went on to work his first job in Queens at the New York Mets, and Amanda stayed in Delaware to work at a physical therapy clinic. They never crossed paths in their 3.5 years at Delaware! In the winter of 2019, Amanda was visiting her friend, Lauren, in the city (as she always did). Their Friday night brought them to Bowery Electric, where Joseph and his friends also happened to be waiting in line. Some of Joseph's friends recognized Lauren and Amanda - and the introductions in line lead to dancing, sharing a few drinks, and fun conversations about college memories. Joseph never got Amanda's number that night but luckily she followed him on Instagram the following day. He asked Amanda to hang out that Saturday, but unfortunately Amanda had plans at home in Parsippany and already left the city. After exchanging numbers, snapchatting and texting for a couple of weeks, Joseph asked Amanda out to dinner. A few nights before their date, Amanda ran into Kian (one of Joseph's friends who was at the bar the night they met) outside the bars in Morristown, NJ. Kian was so excited that Amanda and Joseph were getting dinner together, but Amanda told Kian she was hesitant and probably going to cancel. Without much convincing from Kian, Amanda decided to still go to dinner - and the rest was history. Fast forward to more dinner dates, a Rangers game, fun brunches, and concerts, Joseph asked Amanda to be his girlfriend in February of 2020. Not even the pandemic, Amanda moving to Pennsylvania for grad school ... then moving to Florida, could keep them apart. In the last 4 years they have shared so many amazing memories with each other - and with you! In April of 2024, Joseph and Amanda moved to the Shipyard in Uptown Hoboken with their dog, Nala. And on August 17, 2024, Joseph proposed to Amanda at the Chart House overlooking New York City, which will always be such a special place to them.
