TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS We recommend booking accommodations in Murphys or Arnold. Highway 4 is the main route used to get to these beautiful mountain towns. Google maps will get you there one way or another. Depending on your cell phone provider, you may not have service, so be sure to plug in your directions before you start climbing in elevation! Traffic can vary drastically depending on where you are coming from and what time you are on the road. If planning to attend the welcome party, we recommend arriving mid-day Thursday. If you are flying in for the wedding and planning to rent a car, there are plenty of commercial car rental companies (Enterprise, Hertz, Alamo) near SAC and SFO airports. You can also use the Turo app, which is a service that allows people to rent out their personal cars to travelers.

SAC is the closest airport to fly into. The drive from Sacramento to Murphys/Arnold is about 2 hours.

SFO has plenty of flight options! The drive from San Francisco to Murphys/Arnold is about 3-3.5 hours.
