Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Joe Houng and Krista Shuckerow
We love Seattle and are always out and about. From scenic spots like Pike Place Market, Space Needle, and Gasworks park, to our favorite day to day, these are some of our best of Seattle, go to experiences, and things to do for the dates around the wedding.

Salsa Con Todo, Seattle Dance Studio

211 North 36th Street, Seattle, WA 98103

Friday night take a 1 hour intro dance class in the studio we have been taking classes for years. For a fun time, we recommend the beginner salsa class at 8pm. Classes are normally $20 per person.

Bumbershoot Music Festival

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

September 5 and 6 weekend there's a folk music festival happening at the Seattle Center right by the Space Needle. Tickets available online.

unlisted

570 Roy Street, Seattle, WA 98109

You'll notice this is the same building as the wedding venue. They have a section open to the public in the form of a speakeasy. Come here for an early look into the wedding vibes. Reservation required.

Pike Place Chowder - Pike Place Market

1530 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101

This place always has a line, we've tried out a couple of places in the market and this is the best for food, plus it'll take you down the super cute Post Alley alley. They can sell out of the chowders so go for an early lunch.

Pike Place - Indi Chocolate

1901 Western Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101

Located on the water front side of Pike Place Market, they have the best hot chocolate, with the chocolate made in a small kitchen in front of you, if you plan in advance they offer chocolate tastings and a walk through of how chocolate is made. Perfect for a weekend date.

First Thursday Art Walk

117 3rd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104

If you get into town for the Thursday before the wedding, you'll get to go to the longest running Art Walk in the country. An art walk is a collection of businesses and galleries that open up their doors to the public to look at art, murals, etc. for free. For an interactive map and more details check out their website. ** Various Museums around Seattle also participate and have free hours on this date.

Sea Wolf Bakers

3617 Stone Way North, Seattle, WA 98103

Come for pastries, not the coffee. With weekly changes in their menu there's always something fresh. Krista recommends their cinnamon roll, Joe recommends their rotating savory croissant. If you're looking for a picnic in Gasworks after this place also sells an everything included picnic food set for 2.

Moss Bay

1001 Fairview Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109

Rent a kayak and go out on lake union! The view from South Lake Union is the best, get a front row seat to sea planes taking off and landing with the Seattle skyline in the background, no need to leave the city to get out on the water.

Gasworks Brewing

2441 North Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103

A nice local spot for a good beer or cider and a burger, right on the water.

Kerry Park

211 West Highland Drive, Seattle, WA 98119

Beautiful views of the city, great for photography. Home of our first date.

Citizen Collective

706 Taylor Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109

Good day spot for drinks near the wedding venue.
