Please plan to arrive at the reception at 5:30pm. There will be one large bus transporting guests to the reception from The Fairfield Inn by Marriott, which will be sure to bring you to the reception on time!
Yes, you are! Feel free to drive yourself to the reception and leave overnight it there if you have too much fun :)
Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. The wedding ceremony will be taking place inside an air conditioned church. If you get cold easily, we recommend bringing a light layer to have in case you get chilly during the ceremony. Our reception is taking place under a tent, and cocktail hour will be completely outside (weather permitting).
Christ the King Church is located approximately 35 minutes away from Lyman Orchards Golf Club, and 40 minutes away from our room block at the Fairfield Inn by Marriot Wallingford. You can expect to be leaving the ceremony around 3-3:15pm. We recommend checking into your hotel room and freshening up while the Bridal Party is taking pictures and getting ready to meet you at our cocktail hour at 5:30pm! After allowing for all travel time, you can expect to have about 1 hour and 15 minutes to yourself at the hotel before boarding the transportation we are providing.
No. We have opted for an “unplugged” ceremony and trust that our photographer will capture all the photos we need. Please DO NOT have your phone out or take photos during the ceremony.
