It’s (Still) Happening!

Hi friends!! It’s one week until we get to see you! We’re so excited to say that the wedding is able to legally be 100% as originally planned! Just to confirm-The ceremony will take place at 3:00pm on the 28th at East Fairview as stated on the invitation. Ladies-if you prefer not to dance in your heels, bring flats along as you will not be allowed to dance barefoot at the venue. Have a great week! Thank you in advance for coming!

Jody and Johanna were in love at first sight....well, not exactly. Neither of them would say that sparks were flying after their first date...but the second date was pretty darn good. They were set up on a blind date through Johanna's Chiropractor, who happened to be Jody's brother-in-law Josh. Trying not to break HIPAA laws, Josh had to be a little creative in how he went about setting them up. It took a chain of 3-4 people before word made it around and these two finally met. It was during dates 2-4 that the couple really started to fall for each other. Johanna of course, being the world traveler, had a trip for Germany right after the 2nd date for 2 weeks which stalled all dating progress. But within 24 hours of getting home, they were back together. Ever since, they've spent most of their weekends together and whatever time during the week they could find... cooking, running, hiking, Longwood Gardens, pinochle, motorcycle rides, crab legs, movie nights... Just being together.

Taking advantage of a sunny, 65 degree Sunday one January afternoon. Jody and Johanna went for a hike at Susquehannock State Park. It was down on the railroad tracks as the sun was setting on the river that Jody got down on one knee and proposed to the unsuspecting Johanna. Both were surprised at the others initial reactions: Johanna not suspecting a proposal that day (being the one to actually suggest the location of the hike) and Jody being surprised at how surprised Johanna was that he was down on one knee. Well, all is well that ends well. She said YES!
