Cinco De Mayo 2017, I (Alyce) had just got off work (still in uniform) and met my mom at Aspen Creek for margaritas and dinner. While enjoying the company, my phone kept blowing up with Snapchat notifications. These notifications were from, Jody Clark, who I had NO IDEA who he was before them. Long story short, Jody kept sending me Snapchats asking me to go to dinner with him THAT NIGHT. Little did I know, Jody was allowed to see my location since Snapchat came out with the "cool" location feature on its app. LOL Jody knew exactly where I was and wasn't taking "no" for an answer, and neither would my mom, she said I HAD to go. Therefore, our dinner was cut short so I could run home to change and try to put myself together after a long day of work. Jody picked me up, we went to Salt Grass (as I watched him eat) and we then went to Top Golf to end the night. Looking back, I'm very thankful for a pushy mom, and now, future husband. The best forceful date I didn't know I wanted.

The season of dove hunting and the annual "Hopper's Dove Hunt". Our good friends, Sami and Brad, came down for the weekend to join us at the hunt. We get there, everything seemed normal, we hunted, we ate and drank, we hunted, we ate and drank some more. It got closer to the evening and everyone went to the backfield for some more hunting and to hang out (completely normal). The group got bigger, and bigger, and then before I knew it everyone seemed to be out there hanging out. Our good friend Unica arrived with Brittany and Tracy Hopper (first time she was out there, not normal) and before I could really give her a hug, I heard a yell, silence, and then "Alyce, come here". I remember turning around from talking to the girls, (in my head I'm thinking "what does Jody want now" LOL, and as I'm walking to Jody it hit me. Jody starts getting on one knee and I couldn't help but BLACKOUT, in complete shock I just remember seeing Jody's emotional face and I couldn't help but keep nodding. I can't tell you exactly what was said, but I know I said "yes".
