Melissa is one of Jody's very best friends, and one of her first friends in California. Together, Jody and Mel have cried until they laughed, and laughed until they cried. When Melissa and Kevin met Adam, Mel told Jody shortly after how Adam seemed so nice; that she thought he was exactly what Jody was looking for. As she often is, Mel was right. When Adam decided to propose, the first text he sent was to Melissa and Sara, to help him plan out the perfect day for it.
Sara Perry
Bridesmaid
Jody and Sara met through football. Sara was one of the first people Jody introduced Adam to, on only their third date. Jody knew her friends would have to approve and it didn't take long for Sara (and her husband Jason) to give a stamp of approval for Adam. Sara was also one of the first to hear of Jody's and Benji's plans to move away and join Adam and his boys in Vacaville. Through tears she gave her blessings, as she knew her dear friend had found "The One".
Markus Holden
Best Man
Markus is one of Adam's best friends and his Best Man. Markus and Adam went through the CHP Academy together and worked together in Oakland for years. Both handy guys, they've done several home improvement projects together as well. Markus is someone Adam has always gone to for advice or to share good news. Markus, his wife, Krissy, and their family have welcomed Jody into their lives and have become good friends as well.
Evan Hile
Groomsman
Evan and Adam have known each other for years and are great friends. They graduated the CHP Academy together and worked together in Oakland until Adam left for Division. Every year, Evan, Adam and Adam's boys go out on their annual crabbing trip to Tomalas Bay. Even is a trusted friend to Adam and their families have gotten closer as Kelly and Jody and their kids have gotten to know each other.
