Lucas and Jodie’s love story began in 2021 at Waynesburg University, when Jodie was a senior and Lucas was a junior. It all started the night Jodie’s friends finally convinced her to go to a house party, where they first met! One of the very first things Jodie remembers telling him was that he didn’t look like a football player (something that may have offended him just a little). Not long after meeting, they began dating, and had their first date at, you guessed it, dairy queen! When Jodie graduated and moved back to New York, the couple endured eight months of long distance, visiting each other whenever possible. Soon after, Jodie landed a job in Morgantown and they were both finally able to live near each other! After a year of dating, they moved in together while both working at the hospital. Since then, they’ve shared countless adventures—visiting beaches, exploring the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and traveling together whenever possible. In May 2024, while on vacation in Mexico, Lucas proposed, and Jodie (of course) cried like a baby. Since their engagement, the two have been pursuing their dreams, attending graduate school to become a Physician Assistant and a Nurse Practitioner. Lucas and Jodie could not be more excited to be married to the love of their life and start another great adventure!
