In 2012, the cutest new 8th grade boy walked into the gym during girls volleyball camp and everyone immediately stopped what they were doing, but I didn't meet him until the first day of 8th grade. We both had huge crushes on each other, but were both afraid to ever say anything, so we would both try to sneak in glances of each other during classes we had together until Seth got taken out of them. From then on we would pass one another in the hallways, not saying anything, but trying to look without making it too obvious. Then finally, one day I was sitting in Jalapeño Tree in Henderson and I get a comment on one of my photos saying "I likey" and his phone number, and the rest is history.
I had been planning a surprise 21st birthday party for Seth with his mom for months. When the dinner finally comes around, I thought we surprised him so good and I was so excited. Seth's mom told him he should give a toast telling everyone thank you for coming and Seth wanted me to come up to the front with him. I told him no, that he was a big boy and he could do it by himself. After him asking me multiple times to go up to the front with him I finally gave in. He started giving his toast and was getting emotional, which I thought was so sweet, but he started saying he knew about the surprise the entire time and we were all laughing thinking he was joking... but then he took my champagne out of my hand and reached for his back pocket. I have never been more surprised and happy in my entire life. I couldn't even tell him yes, I could only nod because I couldn't stop crying. Until our wedding day, this is the best day of my life.
