Once upon a time in Orange County

September 2002

We begin as TVT LIONS in 2002, Jodi and Josh are both entering their Freshman year at TVT. Jodi, her first year, Josh his 5th year at TVT. Due to the number of students, Josh and Jodi do not get many chances to connect during this year. Thanks to photographs, we do know they were in the same prom group. The year came and went, Jodi leaves for Woodbridge High, and Josh continues his reign at TVT.

The Hike

August 2016

High school is long gone. Josh, had attended Boulder in CO, spent time in New York, and has now recently relocated back to sunny Southern CA. Jodi, had attended Chico State in northern CA, after graduate school had moved to and was still living in San Francisco (the better half of CA). On this weekend, Jodi and Lindsey flew from SF to LA to scope out LA to possible move there one day. During the trip, a hike (Paseo Miramar) was taken. THE HIKE in which Jodi's long time friend, Jared Bruss came with, and invited his best friend, Josh, who was at the time traveling between LA and the desert areas. While Josh and Jodi spent most of the hike trailing at the back together and catching up, both very sweaty, it was later reported that there was "no chemistry". Scene.

The "Meet Cute" in Austin, Texas

May 2017

Call it fate, call it dumb luck, call it whatever you want... but almost one year after THE HIKE, Jodi and Josh find themselves together again, this time at a wedding ( thank you Jordan and David Samson). Their eyes met from across the courtyard as Jodi was getting her dress sleeves rolled up in an attempt to sweat less. Just as she saw Josh making his way over from across the courtyard, sweating through his shirt. FIREWORKS.

The Proposal

September 3rd 2019

It happened. There was a taped and closed off door due to a "bug bomb" in the guest room. There was a video montage. There was a room decorated. Then there was a Doug thrown in with THE RING. There were words and tears exchanged (by Josh) There was a YES (by Jodi) There was a surprise of family, friends, and dinner across the street. (more tears and words exchanged by all) THEN there were more surprises and celebrations all weekend long for Cheryl's 60th!

For all the days along the way
