Every love story is beautiful, but ours is our favorite.

Ray and I met on Plenty of Fish in August 2017, and somehow our very first date ended up being the perfect mix of romance, comedy, and just a little chaos. We met at Olive Garden on a busy Friday night, and because I was so nervous, I showed up early to grab us a table before the dinner rush. While I waited, I calmed my nerves with a few sips of wine… and maybe a few too many breadsticks. The moment Ray walked in, though, everything instantly felt easy. We spent the night laughing nonstop and talking like we had known each other forever — the kind of conversation that makes hours feel like minutes. After dinner, we went to see Annabelle: Creation, which turned out to be equal parts terrifying and hilarious for a first date. By the end of the night, Ray walked me to my car, and just as we got outside, it started raining. Standing there between our vehicles in the rain, he gave me one of those confident, movie-style kisses that completely caught me off guard in the best way. In that moment, I think we both knew something special had started. What began with nervous excitement, breadsticks, scary movie moments, and a kiss in the rain turned into the greatest love story of our lives — and we’ve been writing the rest together ever since. ✨💕
