We're Getting Married!

We met in a bar at Truman State where I (Jocelynn) went to college with Ryan's brother. He came down to visit one weekend and we locked eyes across the room! Ryan reached out the next day, and from there we started a friendship. It didn't take me long to realize that this was a person I needed in my life, and we began dating shortly after! From there the love grew, and we've been inseparable ever since! The funniest part is, I constantly crossed paths with his brother while we were at college together, and Ryan came down constantly to see his brother before we met- it's like the universe was hoping we'd run into each other at some point!

We began a long distance relationship in the summer of 2019 and through my final year of college in Missouri, while he was in Iowa. I don't think there was a weekend where we didn't see each other! During my spring semester COVID hit, and we continued our long distance relationship when I went back home to Texas. When I got a coaching job in Iowa, we moved in together with our two puppies, and have been happily in love with our little family since! We've loved every minute creating our life together in Des Moines with friends and family!

We chose May 15th as our date, because that is the day our relationship began back in 2019, and we wanted to keep the same anniversary date! We love the idea of a late Sunday brunch wedding, because it isn't something you typically see a lot! We can't wait to have all of our favorite people in one spot to celebrate the rest of our lives together, on the day our lives together began!
