How We Met

#AisleBeLovinCurtis

“In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine”-Maya Angelou By far, it all started with as a unsuspecting nontraditional love story. Millard and Jocelyn first met each other in 2016 while at Lincoln University of Missouri (LU). Millard, fresh out of graduate school moved and started working at LU at the same time Jocelyn was attending. The two started off as acquantinces with mutual friends. Unbeknownst to Jocelyn, Millard had confessed to himself and one of his best friends that when he first laid eyes on Jocelyn, “That is going to be my wife one day.” One day out of sheer spontaneity, Millard sent a Direct Message (DM) on Snapchat. The seemingly corny DM to Jocelyn regarding how beautiful she was created what would be “a forever thing.” Their love for one another grew due to their strong love for God. The couple had to learn how to be patient with themselves, refrain from the stereotypical millennial urge to use social media, and ultimately rely on God's love and process on what He desired from the couple. When Millard and Jocelyn started dating Jocelyn expressed to Millard she always had a crush on him ,but never thought anything of it. This surprised Millard because he never thought that she looked at him in any other way other than a friend. A few weeks before Millard sent the dm Jocelyn had prayed and asked God to send her the man that he wanted for her. She was very specific with her prayer and asked God that when he sent this man that he lets her know that he prayed for her and knew she was the one from the first time he laid eyes on her. Little did she know Millard already expressed that Jocelyn was the one just not to her, yet. One day while they were dating and sitting down watching a movie, Millard looked at Jocelyn and said "I prayed for you and I knew you were the one the first time I laid eyes on you". this was random but confirmed what Jocelyn prayed for. Now we're getting Married!!!!!!

For all the days along the way
