Milan Malpensa (MXP)

Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the largest international aiport near Lake como and offers the most flight connections. It's well-connected to the city of Como and towns on the western side of the lake. You can take the Malpensa Express train to Como.

Milan Linate (LIN)

This airport is close to Milan's city center and its a good option if you plan to spend time in Milan before heading to the lake. It offers domestic and European flights.

Bergamo (BGY)

This airport is also near Milan and serves budget airlines. Its a bit further from Lake Como than the other two, but can be a good option if you find a cheap flight there.

Train

Train + Ferry/Bus

A more adventurous option. From Malpensa, take the Malpensa Express into Milan, then connect by train to Como or Varenna. From there, ferries and buses will take you to towns around the lake. This is the most budget friendly option but does involve some transfers and can take ~2-3 hours
