Question

Why did you choose August 24, 2025?Why did you choose August 24, 2025?

Answer

We always talked about having a short engagement. When you know you know, why wait? Plus, August 24th is the day we officially started dating. You got us. We're sentimental.

Question

Where can I find the venue?Where can I find the venue?

Answer

Our entire wedding will be hosted at Blanco Urban Venue, located in downtown San José. Address: 12 N San Pedro St, San Jose, CA 95110

Question

What are the Wedding Colors? What are the Wedding Colors?

Answer

Espresso brown, Taupe, Champagne, and English Rose. Along with other neutrals and cremes for embellishment.

Question

Why is there a long break between Ceremony and Cocktail Hour? Why is there a long break between Ceremony and Cocktail Hour?

Answer

We really value being present and rested. With everyone traveling on such short notice, and select parents bringing children, having a straight 8 hour day can be exhausting. So we would like to invite everyone to slow down and take a break. We encourage you to utilize the free time for grabbing lunch and resting at your hotels! **All guests will be asked to leave during this break time so the venue's staff can set up for cocktail hour.**

Question

Can I bring a plus one?Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To confirm whether you have a plus one, visit the RSVP page and enter your first and last name in the search bar. If your name does not appear with 'Guest' listed under it, you are not permitted to bring a plus one.

Question

What do I wear?What do I wear?

Answer

Cocktail. Or Semi-Formal, if needed. WHITE DRESSES OR WHITE SUITS ARE NOT ALLOWED. We’d love for guests to arrive in cocktail attire, but we understand that the August heat in San José (typically sunny and in the 80s) might make that uncomfortable. Please dress in a way that feels best for your comfort and well-being without being casual. **Cocktail typically leans more structured and elegant, while semi-formal offers a more relaxed and flexible look.**

Question

Can I bring my children to the Wedding? Can I bring my children to the Wedding?

Answer

Only family and select friends are allowed to bring their children to the wedding. We ask that if your invitation does not include the names of your children, please do not bring them. As much as we would love to see every cute little face, we have very limited seating at the venue. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring in outside alcohol? Can I bring in outside alcohol?

Answer

Absolutely not. The venue has a strict policy against outside alcohol, and violating it could result in unexpected fines or even an early end to our celebration. We’re committed to honoring our contract and doing everything we can to ensure the day goes smoothly. We’ll be providing alcoholic beverages during reception and cocktail hour, so there’s no need to bring your own. Please drink responsibly—if necessary, we will ask guests to leave in order to protect the integrity of the event.

Question

What if my kid has a meltdown during the Ceremony? What if my kid has a meltdown during the Ceremony?

Answer

We understand that kids can have unpredictable, tough moments. If a meltdown begins during the ceremony, we kindly ask that you quietly step out with them until it’s over. We want to minimize distractions during the most intimate part of our day. That said, we’re praying for smooth sailing and hoping everyone can be fully present!

Question

What will traffic be like? What will traffic be like?

Answer

Since it’s a Sunday and we’ll be downtown, traffic may be heavier in the morning and afternoon than in the evening. We recommend booking accommodations within 20 minutes of the venue to avoid potential delays. As well as planning to arrive at 11AM for the ceremony before promptly starting at 11:30AM.

Question

Where do I park?Where do I park?

Answer

There’s a parking lot managed by ParkSJ just 30 feet from the venue. The first 90 minutes are free, followed by a $10 flat rate for the day. The venue is located in downtown San José, within San Pedro Square. Please note that some walking will be required, as there is no parking on the street directly in front of the venue.

Question

What do you recommend me to bring? What do you recommend me to bring?

Answer

Aside from your dolled-up self, we recommend bringing water for the ceremony, as well as sunscreen for both the ceremony and cocktail hour since we’ll be outdoors. While a canopy will provide some shade on the rooftop, it’s always good to be prepared—especially if you have children or are sensitive to the sun. We’ll have some kid-friendly dinner options at the reception, but we suggest bringing any snacks your little ones might need during cocktail hour or throughout the evening.
