Like most modern-day romances, we met online in April of 2024. We had our first date at the Lucky Monk in South Barrington. Over pizza and diet cokes, we talked and talked and talked some more.... SOMETHING JUST CLICKED. After a whirlwind romance and some coast-to-coast travels, we decided that 2 "only children" could work it out and made it official!!! Bill and I got engaged in the Fall of 2024. Obviously, there were some bumps along the road during those first few months.... Bill's allergic to cats... Joanne has 5!!! Joanne is not used to living with people... Bill helped her "organize" her life (shoes)!!! Bill had neck surgery... Joanne was a caretaker... The melding of their lives entwined into a strong bond that could twist and bend but not break!! When we started to plan the wedding, we discussed dates- October is a special month for both of us... and jokingly I said "10/4". I looked and it was actually a SATURDAY... 10/4/25 is the official date! Like every football fan knows…. Sometimes the QUARTERBACKS need to call an “audible”!!! SOOOO… back to the playbook… we decided a summer beach “micro”wedding with some Smithfield’s hush puppies and Bo Rounds…. We understand not everyone will be able to be there… we have felt your love and support throughout this crazy game of love… so once we return… WE WANT TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!!! Look for an invite to a reception NEAR YOU… we will celebrate with family and friends with events in Illinois and Wisconsin!!! "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw says it best...
