Average temperatures in May range from the 70’s to lows of in the 50’s. Summer temperatures may feel humid but in the mountains it’s a little cooler. We will be providing umbrellas to the guests for the wedding ceremony and outdoor events. Do not feel obligated to bring your own. We got you!
Spiders, wasps, and stink bugs have been the only bugs that have shown themselves to be prevalent in East Tennessee. We do not have a lot of flies and/or mosquitos. Black bears are very common to see in the mountains. It is not rare to see a black bear while you are staying here. We have seen one 30 ft away while we were exploring in Gatlinburg. Please keep your car doors locked as well as any home door closed and locked with small children supervised.
Please dress semi-formal. We will be taking wedding photos as a family. Color schemes are floral/spring colors. Ladies we ask that you please do not wear black or white.
We ask that everyone make room on their schedules for the 23rd of May to the 25th of May. After that we do not have any events planned. We would like for everyone to have time to do what they would like in East Tennessee and enjoy your memorial holiday! The bride and groom will be leaving for their honeymoon in the morning on the 26th of May :)
